If you are "On Air", go into edit mode, select a slide, and then click the title a second time it does allow you to rename (which is good), but folks should be aware that it must be two distinct single clicks, and not a double click or the selected slide will become the projected slide. I was able to put two single clicks quite close together, (like a heartbeat) and still have it work. However, if you want your text to show up on the projected slide as you type, double-click is the way to go.
