Is anyone officially reviewing and responding to problems & questions in the comments on the product page for L7 Basic?
Randy, I saw several responses there earlier this morning. I don't know how well they are satisfying those who asked, but there is at least someone from FL responding.
If I understand what's happening, L7 Basic is nothing more than the old, "free core engine" repackaged for marketing purposes...a little bait on the hook, so to speak. If I misunderstand, someone correct me.
In other words, upgrading from a previous version won't erase anything, but will move it into the L7 world. But there is really nothing added...no Sermon tool, no Systematic or Biblical Theologies tool, etc. Everything beyond the basic features will be add-on-at-cost.
It is more than the old free core engine - in that it also includes access to some resources and additional functionality including reverse-interlinear functionality for the KJV.
You're right. My bad. I didn't click the More link at the bottom to see older comments. I was just browsing through in a hurry. The comments without responses were likely too recent to have been seen by Faithlife.
My reason for posting was a matter of perception and first impressions. For the Basic line of products it's good to see support on the Product pages. Especially official support. It always looks good to new potential customers to see that support. And it does look like it was already there. My mistake for not looking more closely.

Agreed.
While I hope FL doesn't try to entrap people into a situation where they spend money they don't want to spend, I do hope they find new ways to market to those who could use the software. The problem is, as you implied, there may be enough disgruntled Logos users to poison some of their bona fide efforts. I consider myself a bit disgruntled for several reasons into which I won't go here, but I won't try to interfere with marketing. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Or a fish and a bicycle. Or something like that.
In any case, I agree they need to work at supporting the new customers by at least replying to the comments.
