Dynamic Pricing on Crossway Elyse Fitzpatrick Collection (3 Vols.)?

I have the book Give them grace: Dazzling Your Kids with the Love of Jesus in Vyrso format. It is included in the above mentioned collection. Is it true that Logos will upgrade a Vyrso book that is brought into Logos? Will that happen with this book and if so, is there dynamic pricing? According to this thread, others have dynamic pricing for other Crossway books in prepub that they purchased in Vyrso. I also have Counsel from the Cross in Vyrso format, but it is the 2009 edition and not the 2012 edition so I expect these are different.

On another note, is Faithlife supposed to pull books from Vyrso that make the Logos cut? I have found several books that are offered in both places. I know Vyrso isn't heavily policed, but I wonder if those books should be pulled from Vyrso. Also, if we own any of these books, should Faithlife upgrade these books to Logos editions?

So, I've bought it from Vyrso, highlighted it. Then its pulled. Bye-bye highlights. Not cool.

I wouldn't think the highlights would go away if it is upgraded to a Logos edition. I would think that highlights would go along with it. Anyone who has experienced an upgraded book have a comment?

What if Logos pulls a book for publisher or contract issues? Do all your highlights go away then? If that is the case, why would I ever highlight anything in the Logos eco system at all unless I knew the book would be in their catalog forever.

That is correct.

It should. I don't know in what order that happens in terms of dynamic pricing. Let me check on that.

They should be pulled. Because of the volume of books on Vyrso we often don't catch them all (and theoretically there could be an instance where the old edition is available on Logos and the new edition is on Vryso or vice versa--as you pointed out with Counsel from the Cross).

It would depend on when you bought them and when they were first available in Logos format. If the former happened before the latter, then you should have a Logos edition.

Thanks Ben! Your responses have been very helpful with fixing user issues. This is exactly the information I was looking for. Maybe we need to start a thread just like the dynamic pricing thread to let you know about duplicate books.

The main one I see right now is Rediscovering Holiness by Packer. It is bundled in a two volume collection which may be why it was missed. The Vyrso version is here. Other than that, I am not seeing too many duplicates at the moment. If I find others I will let you know.

Just wanted to follow up on this now that the collection is no longer in Pre-pub. Do I get an upgrade? I know I purchased the books in October of last year, but not sure when the Pre-pub started. Thanks.

Crossway calls it a "redesign" which doesn't sound like a new edition, just new cover and maybe formatting. I imagine they are the same book. I did notice that the Mobile Ed courses were linked to the Vyrso books as well so that may be why they haven't done anything with it yet. Can anyone who owns the Logos version comment on the version for Counsel from the Cross?

It looks like we ended up creating a different version of the same book, one Vyrso, one Logos. This is not our normal practice and was a mistake. I've submitted a request for our team to take a look at it.

The Vryso book should have been pulled.

Once we resolve this, you will have a Logos edition and will get dynamic pricing.

I did a "look inside," and the copyright on that print book is 2009, with a 2012 redesigned cover. I understand the whole "new edition, new book" distinction, but hopefully that doesn't apply here.

Ben, I want to apologize to you and also to David and other affected customers.

Back in November, I noticed that these books were in Pre-Pub on Logos, but the Vyrso editions hadn't been pulled from that store. I kept the specifics to myself, because I'd been frustrated by "resource no longer available" issues with Mobile Ed courses, and didn't want to have to wait for these PD101 resources to became available on Logos.

I should have brought the original issue to your attention, when there was a chance to publish the books with the same resource names as Vyrso. Because of my mistake, others besides me have had to wait for their upgraded editions and dynamic pricing.
