Teach the Text Commentary Co-Production with Lexham Press
I discovered on the Teach the Text website that they have decided to cancel the series. I wonder if it is possible for Lexham Press to pick up the rest of the series and co-produce the rest of the series of commentaries. Can this happen with book publishers like they do for films?
I really liked this series and I invested money in it. I would hate to see that I have an incomplete set. Is this possible?
Thanks
Jim

It took me a minute to find where the series is being cancelled. One has to click to read the statement. It is in the middle of the page in a bar:

I'm a huge fan of this series. I'd love to see another publisher take it up.

I guess Logos would know how these are selling for them. It sounds like Baker wasn't making any money. They switched to paperback and took out the colour but still had to cancel the rest of the series. The decision was announced in Sept 2016 so I imagine the other authors have long ago moved on to other things.

Yes, I agree that this was a worthy investment that somehow was under-marketed. They have R.T. France, for example, who wrote the Luke commentary for this series. It would be awesome if Lexham would take up publishing the rest of the series. I would purchase selections from the series for sure.
Thanks,
Tony

I, too, would like to see Lexham Press pick up this series and finish it. It's a very helpful series for Bible teachers!

An old topic, but I love these commentaries and would love to see Faithlife pick them up.

As I'm using Duvall's volume on Revelation as part of my current study, I am brought back to this idea of Lexham Press taking over this series. This is such a valuable series, as it includes solid scholarship condensed into concise commentary. Every time I open one of these volumes I am pleasantly surprised at how quickly I can get to the information I need. It's not as in-depth as other commentaries, because that's not the point of the series.
It kind of reminds me of the NIVAC's "Original Meaning" section, but with better organization by verse.
