trying to get the resources i had into my folder for the alpha and i can't seem to find the folder, is there a way to get the folder to open so i can load in the resources i had from the old computer.  is there a way to move it to the computer where it'll recognize it or some button i'm missing that just loads it in for me?

Wondering about Logos version used on old computer ?

Observation: Logos for Mac 1.2.2 can peacefully coexist with Logos 4 Alpha on same computer.  In fact, Alpha resource scanning includes Logos for Mac folder so all Logos for Mac resources are copied to Logos 4 Alpha resource folder then any Logos 4 updates are downloaded from Logos servers.  Personally updated Logos for Mac 1.2.2 resources after Logos 4 Upgrade purchase then installed Logos 4 Alpha, now have couple libraries with lots of resources.

Since this is posted in "Logos 4 Mac" forum, guessing Logos 4 for "my library" - Logos 4 has several commands: http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4_Commands including "Scan Optical Media" and "Update Now"

So, it sounds like you had a bunch of resources on an old computer? Presumably from Libronix 1.2.2.

And you would like to get those into Logos 4 for Mac?

You could copy them to somewhere on your new computer, say under your personal home folder into a folder called LibronixResources.

Then you could open Logos 4 and type "Scan ~/LibronixResources", wait for the drop down to show a list of choices, and then hit enter on the "Scan ~/LibronixResources". Then restart Logos 4.

The indexer icon should show up shortly and when it is done, the new resources should be added to your Logos 4 library. You will probably need to restart Logos 4 one more time to see them.

    Hope this helps.

actually, that does help, i guess i'm a little unsure of how the path would look when i do search it.  i'm also wondering if maybe the resources aren't showing up because we got Logos 4 under my name and the resources were all bought under the ministry's name.  we'll try that tomorrow, but since we're both using the mac now to write sermons we were hoping to ditch the old computer and the old pastors' sign in.  i'm wondering if maybe we need to just repurchase everything under our name so that we don't end up with having to make sure they don't use their password and sign in to another computer.

Forum discussion http://community.logos.com/forums/p/341/3265.aspx#3265 includes licensing insights by Bob Pritchett.

If one Logos user has 2 logins (or purchases from various sources), believe Logos Customer Service can consolidate licenses to single login - recommend calling when customer service opens.

Observation: my wife and I have separate computers with separate email accounts and different Logos libraries.  To use Logos resources, need resource file and license - unlocked resources available in Logos 4 Library.
