Too difficult to learn

I would love to learn to use Proclaim, but it is too hard to learn. I am trying to prepare sermons and Bible class presentations. I am very familiar with Powerpoint. But, it was very difficult even connecting with the church Proclaim site or becoming a team member or whatever the terminology is.

A 30 day trial is not going to be enough because I can't devote hours of trying to learn it to see if it will be worth using while I am trying to prepare materials to use.

I think it could be very useful. But, I am pretty frustrated right now.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems. I think you can book a free, half-hour tutorial session with an instructor.

I regularly go to the video site to remind myself of some functions.

It does take a couple of minutes but you really shouldn't need hours at a time to get a working presentation up and running.

If you have a specific problem and can't quickly find the answer using the video site or google then you can usually get a quick(ish) answer here.

I felt like that when I first signed up with Proclaim. Like you I was coming from Powerpoint, and I was lost at first, because I didn't understand the basic concepts. I'm really glad I persevered though, because once I was over the initial hump, then the learning curve was very shallow. It certainly didn't take me hours to learn (although at first it felt like it would).
