Possible Bug (but more of an annoyance) - Transition Time for Dissolve Doesn't "Stick"

I have noticed a peculiar thing the last few weeks. We use the latest update available. I'm just now getting around to reporting it, if it is in fact a bug. We are a cross-platform church. I use a MacBook Pro to do all the design work for our presentations at church and then we use a Windows machine to actually present in the Sanctuary. In the preferences, I have set each presentation to have a .5 sec dissolve transition. However, every time I open the program it defaults to 1 sec. regardless of the time set in the preferences. The only way I can get it to change is to go into the preferences choose a different time, hit OK, open preferences again, choose .5 sec then hit OK. It's not a big deal, just an annoyance. Could you all check this to see if it's happening on your end? It happens on my Mac and the Windows machine in the Sanctuary. Thanks so much!

Hi Josh, I'm sorry you're having to reset settings you've already set once. I'm assuming your setting this from Settings>Presentations?

Are you building every presentation? Are you also the one responsible for running them during the service?

Is it that new blank presentations are defaulting to 1 sec after changing it for previously built presentations, or is it that the presentation you built on the Mac reverts to reverts to 1 sec on the Windows machine?

The only way I can get it to change is to go into the preferences choose a different time, hit OK, open preferences again, choose .5 sec then hit OK.

When you have to re-adjust the settings back to .5 and see that it is 1 second, what happens when you immediately try to change it to .5 second? Does it automatically flip back to 1? Is that why you have to change it to a completely different time (E.G. 2 seconds) and then back to .5 second?

I have a "customer view" and noticed in a number of different transition times in different presentations.

Thanks for looking into this for me. Yes, I am changing the setting in Settings>Presentation. It's actually set at .5 sec but the transitions take 1 full second to work. However, every time I open our Sunday AM or Sunday PM presentations (I just reuse everything from the previous week and change songs and add/delete as necessary) I have to manually change to 1 sec transition, exit settings, then reset the .5 to get the quicker dissolve. So it's not automatically flipping back to 1 second. The setting says .5, but the transitions are taking 1 second. I would prefer the .5 setting to stay the same from week to week.

I actually had this happen to me a couple of weeks ago when I created new presentations for revival services. The master setting was .5 seconds but the transitions over-ruled that to 1 until I did the steps in my original post. I hope this makes sense.

I'm not the one who runs the shows on Sunday. It's our volunteers. However, this happens EVERY time I open the program (on my Mac and Windows machines). I'm not sure if the program is over-riding the default, but in my settings, the default is set to .5 but the transitions are taking longer. Only when I follow the steps above does it finally start working as expected.

The setting still claims .5 second but it practically speaking takes a full second. Are you currently able to replicate this behavior with any of the presentations you've created thus far, or have you "fixed" them all at this point? When does this behavior manifest itself? Is it only when you go On Air on Sundays, or could you hypothetically create the presentation with the desired settings, and go On Air as a test before Sunday. If you can't replicate the behavior on the Mac, where you create the presentation, you could test it on the presentation machine before Sunday and let me know the name of the presentation so I can see if I can replicate from my view.

What I am saying is it doesn't matter if I fix it or not. The transitions are taking the same time as a 1 second transition EVERY time I open the program, REGARDLESS of what's listed under Settings>Presentation. It happens every time. It doesn't matter what machine I'm on. It happens with any existing presentation and any new presentation. It happens EVERY time for me. That's what makes this so puzzling. I'd be glad to demo this for someone if they want to do a screen-sharing session.
