Newly created slide rendering (Each verse as its own service item?)

Not sure how to even articulate this question, but here goes. 

When creating Bible verse slides, is there a way to create a separate service item (on the left, in the tree) for each verse automatically? Or to convert a single service item (with an entire passage in it) to individual service items where each service item is one verse? I don't like how Proclaim renders an entire passage in one service item (that is, I don't like that I can't find other options besides this), because it is then impossible to insert an image between two verses in a single service item.

I'd like to have each verse on its own service item without manually creating each and every one, so I can insert things in between them, like this....

NOT like this, where there's just one service item for the entire passage. 

Any way to accomplish this? Or any plans for it in the future?

Thank you very much for the detailed message and screenshots, we greatly appreciate concise information. Unfortunately we do not have an automatic way to general service items per verse, however you can add additional slide breaks and drag and drop the image onto the 'blank' slide.
