Clear formatting and / or copy formatting

This is how my slides normally look. 

However, sometimes when I copy sermon material from a notes document, the text gets all messed up on the slide (like below), and I can't seem to clean it up. Is there not a quick way to clear formatting so the text looks like all the other slides?

Try the "clear formatting" button in the upper right corner. It looks like this. It may do what you want.

 

Also, you could try pasting the text in without any formatting. I'm assuming you are using a Mac from reading your signature. If so, try pasting your text with using command-option-shift+v. See if that helps. It looks as if you are adding text to a Bible service item as well. I'm not sure if it will help, but you may want to try using a content item instead to gain a little more control over formatting the slides.
