iOS 11 warning
Obviously Faithlife have been clear that they don't support iOS betas, nor would it be reasonable to expect things to run smoothly on the day so soon afterwards, but I wanted to post about my experiences just in case anyone was thinking about signing up for the public beta out by the end of the month, or installing the developer one.
So far I've spotted two issues in the Logos app (on iPhone 7 plus):
- Small deal: Text formatting is a bit skewed - it seems to be confused about the size of the screen or something? I get paragraph breaks in odd places. This hasn't made anything I've looked at difficult to read, but just made it look a bit clumsier than it does on supported versions of iOS.
- Relatively big deal: I can't select a single word without a lot of hassle - it automatically grabs whole paragraphs, and I need to manually drag the handles down to . Obviously this interferes with highlighting and word studies etc, so this is more noticable.
Everything else seems ok so far, though I've not been too adventurous yet - reading plans work, guides work, prayer list works, and it's still able to render Hebrew and Greek fonts (which has broken in one of my other bible apps).
I can get by for now, but it's worth bearing in mind if you're looking at upgrading. Not sure if anyone else's experience on other devices will differ.

Example of weird text formatting (note where sentences cut off for a new line):
Example of highlighting glitch (whether I press-hold on a word or double tap on it):

Hi James! I take it you must be an Apple fan. We'll look into these! Thanks.

For what it’s worth, iOS11b2 seems to have resolved the issues, so hopefully you won’t get too much grief when the public beta goes live!
