Repeated Crashing Offline

We had no internet at our building today so we were running offline. During our first service we had multiple crashes.

Second service seemed to go ok until we were using the sermon slides. They are JPEG files loaded as an image slideshow. They were fine until I switched to slide 7 and then Proclaim was displaying a blank screen. I restarted Proclaim and same result. It was able to display the song slides, but not the images.

Awebbrausch, please use the Help menu in Proclaim to save the log files from the machine that was crashing. This will include the last 10 sessions so we'll hopefully be able to find the cause of the crashes. If you're unable to attach that file to this thread you can email it to proclaimdev@faithlife.com

I only see one log file there. When you use the Help menu to save the logs we zip up logs from the last 10 sessions, which should include the crash.

I will email them. I unzipped from the machine in the projection booth and only have the unzipped files on my drive.

Sorry for the delay. Based on the logs it looks like a memory issue, but it's not clear what the underlying cause is. Does Proclaim only crash when you don't have access to the Internet? Do you have have multiple Macs? If so do they all have this behavior?

We have 16GB of RAM on the AV iMac, so there is plenty of RAM. I don’t think we have any Proclaim problems when we have internet access. In the same booth, we run Proclaim in parallel on a Mac Mini as a backup, and we have not had a problem...but I believe we had the same problem with the Mac Mini when we did not have internet access.

We're at a loss here. We've tried to reproduce using your presentations and without Internet without success. One thought, your presentations include a lot of motion backgrounds. Curious if the issue occurs without the motions?

We had two issues that week. The first one was random crashing, but I was able to reload Proclaim and continue with the service. Those occurred during the worship slides which are motion. The second one, which was where it quit during sermon slides was pretty much fatal and we never were able to get those slides back up. Proclaim would launch but the slides were projecting blank. Those were all .jpeg files.
