Control From Pulpit With Notebook Computer?

I would like to do two things from my computer at the pulpit. Let me set the stage:

Pulpit is about 75 feet from controlling computer in A/V Tech Room

A/V Tech Room is in balcony

My notebook computer is running Windows 10

Proclaim runs on a Windows 10 desktop in the A/V Tech Room. It is direct Ethernet wire connected to the internet via DLink router.

We do have a WIFI system available.

Here are the two things I would like to do with Proclaim running the over-heads and recording for SoundFaith:

[1] Control a normal sermon presentation from the pulpit (advancing slides, etc.), using the notebook computer sitting on the pulpit.

[2] When I am teaching Wednesday night Bible Study, have proclaim project the image on my notebook. So if I am using Logos, they see Logos. If I am using something else, they see that. If I use annotation software to mark up scripture passages, etc., they see that.

Are these wishes possible now? Is there an app I need to get and run? How do I do these two things?

Neither of the things you are asking for are possible with Proclaim to the best of my knowledge

Proclaim remote control apps are available for the iOS and Android platforms but not from Windows or MacOS. Do you have the option of using some form of mobile device for this?

I would suggest looking at some general "remote control projection" software - where you have some form of "server" on the desktop in your tech room and this is the app that connects to your laptop and displays what is on it. But I can't think of anything offhand that would do it.

Continuing from what Graham said, if you just wanted to control the AV computer from the pulpit computer, I would suggest using Windows Remote Desktop. This should be very fast on the same network.

For Wednesday night, you could make your computer mirror to the projector. Use Proclaim for your slides and then go off air for the portions you want to use logos, or other apps.

If you don't want to go offAir due to a sermon recording, you can leave Proclaim on air and use alt + tab (I believe) on Windows to switch to another app (such as logos)

We don't currently have a way to mark up slide that are being displayed but this is a feature we have talked about internally.

Splashtop is what we use to accomplish something similar, with the added benefit of being able to annotate the screen, which I do on Sunday night Bible studies. $2 a month.

I have begun using my Surface Pro 4 and Pen on Wed Bible studies and don't use Proclaim for this reason alone. I would love to have this feature included and would be happy to help with suggestions and beta testing actively every Wednesday.
