New "Boards" Feature

I thought this was going to be great, I could declutter my Group Upload by creating separate boards. However, when I copied several slides from Group Upload to VBS 2017 and then removed them from Group Upload, they disappeared from VBS 2017 as well. That's not exactly what I had in mind. I also could not figure out how to import new media directly into any board other than Group Upload.

Bottom Line: Good start, needs some work.

Thanks for the feedback. Boards are like albums in a photo app. So the media themselves are still stored in group upload or the series they are from, but boards a just a way to view them a different way.

I do agree that on upload we need to have a board selector. Then you could almost ignore group upload and instead use your boards for organization.

Do you want us to undelete those for you or do you have the originals on hand?

Thanks for the feedback Brendon. I can provide some background on why it works the way it does, but the unexpected behavior you describe is something we need to think further about.

Group Upload is a series in Proclaim, not a board. All your uploads are added to the Group Upload series. Media can exist in multiple boards but only a single series. As a convenience the Group Upload series masquerades as a special read only board -- it can't be deleted and items can't be added or removed.

"Remove from library" removes the media from the Group Upload series and any boards it may be a member of.
"Remove from board" only removes the media from the board
