I would like to recommend The Power of Silence: Against the Dictatorship of Noise, by Robert Cardinal Sarah, Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments. It is excellent.

But don't just take my word for it. Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI and numerous other solid clergy and lay people--including George Weigel and Peter Kreeft--highly recommend it.
