Bug? Custom text fields don't persist across multiple slides

I can't be the only person who might want a slide heading to be in a different typeface/colour/size to the rest of the slide.

You can achieve that easily by added a custom text field. However, that custom text field will only appear on the first slide, not on subsequent slides. I can't imagine this is desired behaviour in any circumstance, and especially when you're fading in text.

Hey Mark, all you need to do is click the drop down next to the textfield button and add a custom smart captions. Smart captions show on all slides. Which will give the affect you want.

The standard text box will show on whatever slide you last clicked on. So you could add a textbox to a slide further down in your content Item.

Thanks, Jordan. I'm glad this is possible to do, although it strikes me that this sort of non-obvious distinction (between a text box and a custom smart caption, or between a text box that is added to the third slide rather than the first) is one of the reasons why Proclaim can be quite frustrating sometimes. I spend ages yesterday trying just to get a blank line that doesn't break, too. I've still never managed that (copy/pasting weird unicode characters has never worked for me).

It would be great if you could find ways of making these sorts of things more intuitive.

Totally Mark. Thanks for the feedback. I think this could use some more thought.

As as for the newline business, I believe we will ship an update very soon that will let you enter non-breaking lines.
