Hey all, ran into a problem last night. I was off line and Logos would not start up at all.  I am currently in North Eastern India and the internet is not entirely reliable.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • One idea is try launching Logos with internet access (so login can succeed) followed by Program Setting change of "Use Internet" to No then close and relaunch to work offline.

To humanly diagnose Logos not starting up, diagnostic log files would be helpful.

    Keep Smiling 4 Jesus,

You have a great idea there, but, how do you launch Logos and do what you say if you don't have internet access in the first place.  I have had the same thing happen to me in the past couple of weeks.  I would shut down my computer at home.  Go somewhere that didn't have any internet access...WiFi or other wise, and I couldn't open my Logos program.

    That really stinks!!!

I travel a lot too with iffy or no internet and occasionally have Logos wanting to login.  I just select "Work Offline" which works fine. Of course you won't be able to download media or anything else that would require being online. Hold down Ctrl (Cmd on a Mac?) as you start the program and you get a dialog box allowing you to work offline.  All that quickly became habit for me and I don't even think about it anymore.

Logos wiki => Keyboard Shortcuts for Mac shows Command key for Mac sign in (to get work offline button to appear).

When I try to read a translation of the Bible when I am offline, it will only allow me to scroll down a couple of chapters and then goes blank.  I need access to my Bible translations (at least my favorite 1 or 2 that I thought I had downloaded on my device) wherever I travel in the world. I used to have that access and no longer have it.  Even in airplanes.  My problem is not starting up logos but just being able to read my favorite translation(s).  Do you have any suggestions or help?

Hi John - and welcome to the forums

at least my favorite 1 or 2 that I thought I had downloaded on my device

You say you thought you had downloaded them

Are you able to check / confirm that you have?

If so, try removing them and downloading again and see if that helps

    Welcome [:D]

Curious about kind of device(s) ?

Apologies since can read many chapters in downloaded Bibles on my iPhone using Logos 6.0.5 (6.0.5.00027) with airplane mode enabled. Thankful for MacBook Air having my entire Logos library available for offline use, which can also be used on an airplane.
