Help! Need to prevent the white flash at the end of PowerPoint

At the end of a PowerPoint presentation which is called from Proclaim (transfer control to PowerPoint), before returning to the Proclaim content, there is a white flash on the screen. This is particularly noticeable when the content is dark (because the white stands out more).

I've tried different transitions and no transitions within the PowerPoint file, but it doesn't make a difference. It seems to be related to Proclaim, not to PowerPoint. I tried with different or no Proclaim transitions, but that also didn't make a difference.

Is there a setting I'm missing? Is this a bug?

Concert on October 22nd... would like to find a solution before then.

    Hello Paul,

What version of PowerPoint are you using, as well as operating system?

If you're on Windows, does disabling "Use PowerPoint to import" under Settings > General affect the behavior?

We can take a look into the presentation if you send us the .ppt presentation.  You can either attach it here or send it to us at  proclaimdev@faithlife.com

    Hi Justin,

The version of PowerPoint is a subscription through Microsoft Office 365 Version 1708 (Build 8431.2079).

The Operating System is Windows 10 Home 64-bit Version 1703 (OS Build 15063.674).

I tried the "Use PowerPoint to import" option just now, and it did not prevent the white flash at the end.

Since you were indicating that the issue may be with the PowerPoint file, I played around with it some more and think that I found the solution. I was using an image as the background, but PowerPoint would set the solid color behind it to white (only visible if making the image transparent, since the background image filled the whole slide), and I couldn't find a way to set that color.

The solution was to set the background to a solid color (black), then add the image on top of the solid background (one slide at a time...). This way, when it transitioned through the background color as it exited the presentation, it didn't flash white.

PowerPoint itself doesn't seem to do this transition through the background color behavior, so that lead me to believe the issue was with Proclaim. In one sense, I suppose it may be because of how Proclaim exits the presentation, but I was able to get around it by using PowerPoint differently.

    Problem solved.
