Bare Minimum Notes Improvements Needed

Fix formatting issues - especially with copy/paste, for example if you paste into a note all the existing formatting goes screwy (e.g. removes bullets, etc.) - not able to set paragraph leading/spacing (it should either not have any leading anywhere, or allow you to fix it up) - ensure that font changing works and the font selected sticks to the text!
Speed it up - typing intoa Note is painfully slow
Add spell checker to Notes
Allow Notes to be collapsed or provide an index in each Notes file
As I see it, while a lot of other things could be done for them, these are the absolute bare minimum improvements needed to make Notes work. Notes need to be more than just one-liners - I have started to study Encountering the Book of Romans (Moo) and I want to keep all my notes and jottings and answers to questions etc. within Logos4 attached to the book itself.
If people have views on other changes required (remember, bare minimum to make it workable, not all the flashy stuff we want but don't absolutely need right now) please add them in. I think we should aim to impove Notes gradually step by step, and I suspect the vast array of demands being made makes it hard to get anything done in improving Notes!

I would like to just right mouse click on any word and create a brand new note from there. As it works now (if I understand it correctly), I have to create a note from the File menu first. So let's say I'm working in Romans 15. I create a note, then I right mouse click whenever I want to add a note to the passage. But, what if I move to Psalm 117? When I right click in that passage I am asked if I want to add a note to Romans 15. Maybe I am not understanding how it works???

You create a Note file from the File Menu. You create notes in that file by a right click. On the right click you will see all open note files or, if none are opened, the last note file used. You might want to check out some of the videos on notes.

Okay, thank you Martha. That helped make it a little easier. I needed to make sure the notes were actually open, duh! [:$]

I have stated repeatedly that the bare minimum for notes is that they be equivalent to the notes in L3 though there are a number of improvements I would like to see. They have not yet reached that stage so I am still using L3 for study with L4 simply being used for reading.

I'm with Jonathan,
I need to:
- collapse notes - so that I can navigate through the file
- move notes easily - they always go to the wrong place in the note file, and moving them is laborious. Some shortcuts - e.g. Alt down etc would be good, also right click cut and paste would allow me to move them.
- do basic formatting - e.g. if I paste in a note with underlining I cannot remove it! I am not asking for "flashy stuff"
- hyperlink - but i think you are already working on this.

But even in L3 Notes formatting was a bit hit and miss, especially when pasting in other content - I'd like that fixed as well, so we need "L3 + a bit" (the "a bit" probably being what should be classified as bug fixes ...)

There is one other IRRITATING THING that notes do and they shouldn't!
When you are in a note; and you move focus off of the note window to get a quote or link, and then you come back to it, THE NOTE IS NOW BURIED and away from your location on the screen!!
You HAVE TO SCROLL TO FIND IT!!
NO NO NO Logos....!
Please, keep the last note on top while it's being worked.
