Can external shortcuts (e.g. MS Word) be put on shortcut bar?

[UPDATE] Apparently they can, by dragging an icon from Explorer or wherever. Nice one!

I just put a couple of program shortcuts on the bar just by dragging them from the taskbar at bottom.... Now that is nice

I have a folder of LOTS of saved theological PDF's that I used to use with the toolbar and drop down menus...this would be great to open that "PDF's folder" quickly!

Robert you just triggered my memory of my Aging (ages) library with tons of PDF's, the ages home page now resides linked on my toolbar.
Thanks!

Using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit edition, it does not work.

Kevin,
I'm running the same and it is working for me.
Are you trying to drag and drop shortcuts or the actual *.exe? Dragging the *.exe doesn't work for me but the shortcuts do

Just a note, one current problem with external shortcuts is that they don't sync well. Apparently since the paths of the resources are different on different computers (unless your user and computer names are the same), if you put an external shortcut on your shortcut bar in one location, it won't launch from the second location. The icon will appear, but it won't do anything. At least that was true in Beta 1. Perhaps this has been fixed in Beta 2.
