Hard to figure out

I converted to Mac three weeks after attending a Logos conference and getting fully trained on my PC at the time. These last few months on Mac have not been enjoyable with Logos. Notes, Copy Verses, Collections, etc. have been rendered useless. I am not sure how where to start. I am assuming that since they update this thing every two weeks that there are no extensive video tutorials. Or maybe I have become too lazy too search for them.

Any suggestions to make better use of Logos for Mac would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

If you have a particular aspect that you are having a problem with please let us know and somebody will surely be able to help.

As you say there are only a couple of Mac specific videos however as the product develops so the features on each version will converge.

I am interested in finding out what use I might make of Notes - I am using Logos mostly for sermon prep and keep a 'notes' page open in 'pages on the second monitor for cutting and pasting or even paraphrasing.

Which reminds me copy and paste do work on the current version (for most people).

I am sorry you are not having the fun some of us are having helping grow the product.

Since one Logos 4 user can have multiple library installations - see forum http://community.logos.com/forums/p/341/3265.aspx#3265 - could use PC computer(s) or Windows Virtualization on Mac. Oracle's (previously Sun) VirtualBox is free. Parallels and VMWare Fusion are commercial products. All 3 need Windows OS with license for installation (sometimes bundled). Personally have used VMWare Fusion, now trying VirtualBox (seems responsive on Quad Core i7 with 2 cores and 2 GB RAM for Windows XP Pro virtual machine).

After Logos 4 Mac is feature complete, Joe Miller plans some Mac specific video tutorials. Since Logos 4 Mac and Logos 4 PC share base code, many actions will be the same so Logos 4 videos useful: http://www.logos.com/videos Logos development feverishly working to expose Logos 4 PC functionality for Mac use.

I make extensive use of notes while I am just reading or studying and I think of things that apply to a certain text but are not necessarily related to a sermon or project I am working on, I save the thoughts on a note. The powerful thing is that it is linked to the text so it is easily accessible. In my thinking it beats having little files all over the place with neat thoughts on them that I cant ever find. Maybe the younger crew remembers everything and doesn't need such help but for me, the older I get the more I enjoy having one place to gather all of pearls of wisdom God gives me while studying.

But Notes does not seem to be very high on the priority list.
