When making a slide / song etc in proclaim it used to recommend backgrounds... this no longer happens and it is quite complicated trying to get everything matching well.

We actually removed that option and switched to a different method. You should see your presentation name on the left when you open up your Browse Media that will have all your most recent backgrounds stored for you to easily access.
What you can also do is set a Default Media which will apply a default background that way every time you open a certain service item that background will be automatically applied,
To set a Default Media go to Settings > Default Media > Apply the background you decide for that service item.
We also enabled "Browse Media" where you can browse all the media backgrounds and etc by going to Media > Browse Media
