Importing media into the Sermon Editor

I was asked how I used this feature in https://community.logos.com/forums/p/152596/931088.aspx#931088 and thought it would be better to start a new thread.

I used it to import a screenshot I had made of some Logos resources which resulted in this in my Sermon Document

(The pink? background is used to indicate that there is a new slide - I find this useful when preaching from the mobile app which doesn't display the slides themselves. So I use it as a new slide marker)

The slide contents are visible in the Slides view as below

To make this diagram available I uploaded it into the Media Tool

Using the sermon slides during a service requires either exporting to PowerPoint or sending to Proclaim - and in either case I could have simply created an screenshot of the Logos resources and imported the resultant file into PowerPoint or Proclaim - but I prefer to do it this way as I then have all the sermon media together in one place.

Sometimes I like to incorporate "Verse of the Day" slides in the sermon slides - and the new (in 7.10) Copy / Paste capability from the Media Tool (or other places) into the Sermon Editor will make that much easier.

I hope someday this will come to Logos. Accordance has it, and other softwares. I think it's called photo viewer and it has the ability to zoom in and out. Very useful, but what Graham describes, is really nothing new; it's just another convenient way of doing what we've been able to do.

I present from my screen. I project Logos into the screen. My sermon/class outline on the left and my preferred Bible to the right. I'm able to explain and click on scriptures so people can follow along and read literally various versions when I link several versions together.

Having the Accordance ability to insert pictures that can zoom in and out as explained in the link I provided is a MUST in Logos and is so much better than sending images to power point which we were already able to do anyway.

I don't think this is the case. Before this update we were not able to import media into the Sermon Editor in any form as far as I know.

I agree this would be very helpful but this change is not about sending images to PowerPoint - it is about embedding media (albeit not in the way you and others have requested) in a Sermon Document.

Since I use the mobile app for preaching - not the desktop app - this new functionality is very helpful and gives me most of what I need. But I agree that having the capability you are describing would be very useful.

It sounds like you are asking for at least two things:

The ability to add images inline with the text of a sermon (not slides).
The ability to open a larger view of an image on click or hover.

I've read through this and other threads, and I'm trying to better understand the needs behind your request.

Would you mind sharing a screenshot of your screen the way you present it in class? If you feel so inclined, you could even use a picture editor to create a mockup of how you imagine your proposal would work in Logos.

Other questions:

Do you expect placing an image in the sermon text would also create a slide of that image? If yes, would you expect all slides to be placed in the text? Or have controls for each/all images whether to display in text or in slides?
For zoom, would you expect this would also apply to images in other locations, such as in resources, media-based guide sections, search results?
Sermon Editor originally showed a larger image on hover over the slide thumbnail. If we re-instituted some version of that, would it suit your presentation needs?

I would very much like to change font colors in the slides with text but as It stands now, it you change the font colors it changes all the text. Not only would I like to emphasize certain text with a lot text but I would like to animate that text as well.

The ability to open a larger view of an image on click or hover. YES TO THIS QUESTION TOO.
