Bottom (and Top) Line Covered by Toolbar in Android Beta

I noticed that the bottom line of the text in any open book gets covered up by the toolbar. This should not happen. If you have swiping left/right turned on and turn on the toolbars in settings you should see all the text and not have any text covered up by a toolbar.

BTW the toolbars {"Book Panel Controls"} still go away with a tap even after turning on the toolbars showing in Settings. In fact this setting doesn't seem to have any effect whatsoever.

I'm using beta version 6.0.x on a Pixelbook and on Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

UPDATE:

Here's an even worse example of this problem. I opened Psalm 80 in CSB on left and FLSB on right. There's a link with a table showing "Types of Psalms" in the chapter intro to Psalm 80. The top line is covered up.
