Can someone tell me what all these gray bars are? Are they some sort of history of where I've been?
I know that search results produce orange bars, but what are these?

Figures. Detroit builds a car with the help of the big oil companies that you can turn on but can't turn off. Nice. Never have to worry about starting it again.
Hope someday they make a way to clear them or my 'wear marks' could fill up the scroll bar. Maybe they could at least disappear every time I re-open Logos.
I believe it only stores the last 20 of them; I just mentioned on another thread that you'll be able to turn them off in a future release; but for now we hope you'l give them a chance....
Actually I did find a way to turn them off. When I close my eyes, they seem to go away. Does this work for anyone else?

Besides the clutter, some of us are very sensitive about seeing more and more gray. IYKWIM.
I like these bars. I really like the pink/red ones in a search. I talked about that in a different post, but I'll repeat it here, 4WIW. In a search you can preview the "hit" by hovering over the bar. You can also "jump" to the hits by clicking on the bar.
I was wondering what the other colors meant and now I know what the grey is: history.

I only worked out these were today; they really are very useful! Especially being able to mouseover and see where you've been...
What are the blue bars?
They represent positions in that book you've stored in "Favorites".
I agree they are great when you are searching and then can hover over each bar in the resource to get a preview. I'm not so hot on the grey ones though.
This might be true unless you get lots of hits. See the example below. Based on this search I get a pink scroll bar for a good part of the NT. Pretty useless. In addition you cannot click on or hover over a pink bar that lies under the scroll bar button, limiting the usefulness of this.
I've given "wear bars" some thought and I think it could be more useful with some options. To illustrate the need consider this:-
I had just loaded L4 and opened ESV to a clump of pink bars. So I began to click through the four Search tabs and found a Bible search with results in the NT (the range was All Passages). I think I ran it a few days ago. The scroll button presented an obstacle to results between Philem and Rev. If I clicked above the button would jump to that spot and present a similar obstacle. And I couldn't guarantee to scroll from one result to the next because of the density of the pink bars. Thinking the search range had an effect on the distribution, I changed the range to New Testament and re-ran the search. The pink bars briefly disappeared but re-appeared in the same place! As another set of results was laid on top it became impossible to select a specific result as a slight movement would skip 3-4 results. When I searched Genesis I got a clump of pink at the top of the scroll bar. I also noticed a flurry of Sync activity with every search.
Can someone please provide me a list of what the different color represent?

Grey is "page wear" it's the last several locations you've actually been.
Orange is the current search term
Blue is the favorites you've saved
I am looking foward to turning them off. Density of them at times makes them not all that useful. Each to their own I guess
And you can right click on a grey bar and choose it as a favorite!
