As absolute proof that you can't please everyone, the latest update clears the search text field each time you use the reuse item function. Since you don't offer the option to select multiple items before closing the reuse window (which has been requested) it is sometimes advantageous to NOT clear the serach text field so that you can select a second item (or more) using the previous search criteria.
I'm sure I don't need to cite an example, and using grouping and other tricks are always options, however, sometimes the simplest solution is the best.
