Clarity of text after PowerPoint import

I've noticed that the clarity of text after importing a slide from PowerPoint is not as good as natively created Proclaim slides.
The first screenshot below is from a slide created using Import -> PowerPoint (converting to images)
while the second was created directly in Proclaim
I appreciate they like quite similar here! But within Proclaim on my computer there is a marked difference. Is this a known limitation / is it due to use of different fonts / something else?
I think - but can't be sure - that it used to work better than this in previous releases.
Any insights appreciated
Thanks, Graham

Hey Graham,
Any presentation created in PowerPoint and then exporting as images into Proclaim will then lower the image quality. Which you have noticed and is expected between the two softwares.
If you select the 'transfer control to PowerPoint' you will notice the images are pretty sharp, but you lose the ability to control everything in Proclaim.

Thanks Matt
That sort of confirmed what I was seeing - good to know it isn’t a new problem.
Appreciated, Graham

Hey Graham,
I should mention and I apologize that I didn't earlier. It is a known bug in the software when exporting from PowerPoint to Proclaim.
The image quality should be the same between the two softwares .Our developers are aware of this bug and are working on a fix for it.
I do apologize for my miss guiding information in my previous reply.

So, it's been 5 years. Have you fixed the bug yet? Just asking because the quality is still pretty poor.

I use Powerpoint and export to images and then import it as an image slideshow into Proclaim rather than using Proclaim's import function. It doesn't really add much complexity, it never fails (import does sometimes for me) and I haven't noticed any fuzziness with this approach.

The obstacle with doing this is that I have notes on my PowerPoint that don’t export over to proclaim unless I import the full presentation. Hoping there is a better solution to this soon.

I actually thought we did fix this... (but it sounds like you are not seeing that)
I will take a look at this area in the code and see what I can find.

When importing a PowerPoint presentation into another software, such as a video editing tool, there may be issues with the clarity of text due to resolution and scaling differences. Here are some tips to help ensure the text clarity after PowerPoint import:
-
Use high-resolution images: If your PowerPoint presentation contains images, ensure that they are high-resolution to avoid pixelation or blurriness when imported into another software.

When importing a PowerPoint presentation into another program, such as a word processing or desktop publishing application, the clarity of the text may be affected. This can be due to several factors, such as the formatting of the original PowerPoint slide, the resolution of the images or graphics used in the slide click, and the compatibility of the programs being used for the import.
