Importing Logos2 resources from CD
Is there a way to import resources from a Logos 2 disc? I have Logos 7 installed on my Windows 10 machine, which will not run my old J Vernon McGee resource library, but will browse the disc. I use this resource every week for lesson prep, and need it!

Was the J Vernon McGee library ever registered to you and license synced ?
If yes, then using same email for Logos 7 login as Libronix would include J Vernon McGee resources. FYI: many years ago installed Logos 2 on Windows followed by free upgrade to Libronix 3.0g with license upload, which copied licenses for use in Logos 4 and newer. Seem to remember Logos 2 resource format (and earlier) not being usable in Logos 4 so license copy caused newer files to be downloaded.
If no, then one option is login to https://www.logos.com followed by using https://www.logos.com/redeem to associate your J Vernon McGee library with your Faithlife account. Other option is contacting Customer Service => https://www.logos.com/contact to discuss Logos 2 license registration and association with your Faithlife account (that you use for Logos 7).

The McGee resource CD came from Thru The Bible, not Faithlife, but it used Logos 2 to operate. This resource is not longer offered by TTB, thus my desire to find a workaround to keep using it, as it has the entire 5 year TTB teachings on it.
I'll contact customer service to see if there is a solution.

Thanks, but I was trying not to spend $380 for a resource I already have. I'm waiting on a reply from Logos tech support. That may take a day or two, I'll post their response here.

The older resources (Logos 2.1) are not compatible with current computer systems, nor with Logos 7. IF I had license files I could get a discount on the new versions. Instead I have installed them on an older machine I have.

Logos retired the original TTB resources a couple of years ago, and gave the updated commentary series and the notes for the 5 year study plan to all owners of the original TTB library for free.
Since you didn't sync your licenses, I conclude, that the above "free TTB" has not been unlocked to your account. With the license sync now retired as well, I doubt that there's a way to do the unlock automatically or by self-service.
If all of the above methods have failed, I'd suggest to give FL a call. I can imagine that you're still eligible for a free unlock (but no guarantees).

Do you recall if that applied to McGee resources purchased directly from Thru The Bible? I purchased from TTB, and don't recall receiving or needing a license. The Logos software came on the disc with the resources.

I got my TTB from Tomas Nelson if I recall correctly, and that included a license.
I suspect that there's a license behind the resource anyway. I still have my resources from the Thomas Nelson and the Crossway trial packages. The trial didn't require a key or a license, but the resources were transferred to Logos 4 through license sync.
I transferred the Crossway trial package only shortly before the license server was switched off, so I'm absolutely certain here.
I think calling FL remains the only option for you.

You need to install your version 2 resrouces in Windows XP, or in XP mode. You would then need to install version 3, which will allow you to export the license which includes the v2 resources. Send that file to Faithlife and they will unlock it to your account and it will download automatically and be permentantly linked to your account.

This link explains how to generate a license backup file from your Logos version 2 installation on a Windows XP or Vista computer. The resulting LOGOS.LSB file can then be attached to an email to Logos customer support for manual activation. I think this should result in your resources downloading into your current Logos installation.

Thanks to everyone. I uploaded the old license to Faithlife, and they have loaded my resources into Logos 7. Now I'm ready to teach!
