Import Google Calendar
It would be really nice to be able to connect our Google calendar to Proclaim (via faithlife or otherwise) for generating announcements. I am loathe to ask my assistant to double enter everything, or to enter everything currently in Google into Faithlife to then export it again.
Since I have submitted two requests in a row, let me say that I have been using Proclaim for a while now and am floored by how great the software has become.

We are actually working on this now. We are going to be introducing Faithlife Sites in the near future. This will allow you to sync your calendar with your Google calendar. This program is still in beta testing but you are more then welcome to join the group on Faithlife.com https://faithlife.com/faithlife-sites/activity
We really recommend joining and as well posting on the page with any feedback or ideas you may have.

Hey Justin,
I apologize for some misleading information. You won't need Faithlife Sites to have your Google Calendar and Faithlife Calendar be connected to one another. I do apologize for that information. The time table for this is not set in stone quite yet however.

Hello Ebbe,
You can import a Google calendar (and others) into your group's calendar. Make sure you do it on the church group that's linked with your presentation group. Try following this article and let us know if you need any help!

Does the URL end in .ics, and is your calendar set to public?

My google calendar use 24 hours a day. Not 12 hours AM and 12 hours PM as Proclaim do. Could this difference cause the error when trying to import the calendar?

That shouldn't influence it. Make sure you're sharing the iCal feed and not the public URL. If it's still not working, you can email the feed URL to support@faithlife.com and we'll investigate why it's not accepting it.

I scrolled down in the Google calendar settings and copied the link Public adress in iCal-format and now it works. Your article ask me to copy another link.

With my work around I was able to import our google calendar into Proclaim/Faithlife. But the calendar never was never syncing to reflect changes in the calendar. I waited several days and the calendar button in the group settings page was telling the sync was done.
I deleted the link and tried several times to import our calendar with no success.

Is your calendar marked "Make available to public"? If it is, you can always email the calendar feed to support@faithlife.com and we can look into why it might be being denied.

Hi I am having a similar problem with Google Calendars syncing.
This is the ics link: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/330mhu6b9em0uj1aqd41pdjpvo%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics
The problem is that I only get one of the repeating events added when I use this link.
