Layout switching does not behave as expected.
If I start with a layout like this one (Default - hey can I change the default?)
I then click layout and click the one labled "2" here. It's a triple column layout, great for widescreens.
But Instead of getting three equal columns, I end up with stacked columns like this:
Wait!
That's not even three columns! What in the world is going on? that's not what I expect.
What I expect is exactly what the layout shows:
