Library: Sort by rank doesn't stick between searches

I'd like the library to sort by rank whenever I've entered something in, but I have to select it every time.   It goes back to Title sort when the filter is cleared out, since the rank column disappears.

Could we get an option switch so we can set it to always sort by rank?
