Unable to Create Clippping or Copy & Past with Citation Details from HCSB or CSB

I am having a very strange issue with the Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) and the Christian Standard Bible (CSB).

The right-click menu option for Add clipping to "name" does not appear after highlighting text in the HCSB or the CSB resources.

Additionally, when I copy and paste into Word after highlighting text in the HCSB or the CSB resources the citation details and footnote are not created.

These two functions work properly in my other translation resources.

Although rare, they could be corrupt or missing some metadata.  Drag both resources into Tools > Program Settings > Hidden Resources, restart Logos and then delete them from Hidden Resources (or right click and select unhide). They should be re-downloaded, possibly re-indexed and then be ready to use.

    Hi Robert,

I'm sorry you are having problems using the CSB and HCSB with your clippings documents and the footnoting feature. I'm not able to reproduce these two issues, but let me have you check a few things.

First, Clippings documents only support the Selection range option in the right-click context menu. If you look at my screenshot, there is an option to add the Selection to a Clippings Document.

Is it possible you are trying to use the Reference option? As you can see from my next screenshot, the Reference option doesn't have a Clippings Document listed; this is the expected behavior.

I'm also able to copy and paste from both the CSB and HCSB, and the footnote pastes correctly into Word. I selected Luke 19:11–27 as seen in this screenshot.

Here are the results when copied into Word.

Here are the setting I have turned on in my Program Settings panel.

If these settings do not work, can you reply back with your Operating System and also which version of Word you are trying to use?

    Blessings,

    Philana

I am unable to follow your directions. I do not see how to drag the resource as you instruct. Are you doing this in version 7?

I am doing the same thing as you suggest. All works as expected in other translations.

If open in a panel click the resource tab with the left mouse button and move/drag it whilst continuing to hold down the button (or equivalent on a track pad). If in Library, click the Title and drag.

Drag it into the open Hidden Resources section of Program Settings (from Tools menu) and release the mouse button.

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it did not work.

I just finished a chat with Logos support. We accidently chased the issue to the fact that these two resources are defaulting to "Reference" rather than "Selection" in the right-click context menu.

After selecting the "Selection" in the upper right portion of the right-click context sensitive menu, I am able to copy and paste the passage with the proper citation details.

Now the question is why are these two resources acting differently than all my others.

After choosing "Selection" in the upper right portion of the context menu it will become the default for the next time. So they should not be acting differently now ("Reference" must have been chosen in the past).
