This morning when I did my daily Bible reading my book count was showing 2820 books in my library. Now it shows 2797. What could have caused the count to drop like that. I didn't do any resource cleanup or any update/refresh commands.
If you have Logos Now the preview books expire at the end of each month and new ones arrive. I suspect you are seeing the effect of the change in your temporary books.
I thought of that but I don't get the preview books most times. And I'm pretty sure I don't have 23 of them. But I'll double check on that. Thanks!
Did you see these numbers on the SAME device. There will be some difference in resource numbers between desktop and mobile due to licensing issues. Mobile will usually be less. For me, my mobile library is about 50 resources less.
Also, make sure there are no spaces or any characters in your library search box.
Good point Myke but yes they were on the same device.
The preview books download automatically for a month and then are removed. You can sort your library by license and view the temporary ones. I had 44 last month and have, I think around 21 this month.
Oh, and if you want to remove the files of the temporary downloads go to the command line and type:
delete unlicensed resources
Hit enter.
I have no idea about your specific case, but just to note: this will likely happen to those who leave Logos Connect Essentials.
Perhaps. But I was under the impression from previous threads in the forum that temporary books don't go way and need to be cleaned up with the command you showed in your second post. Maybe they drop out of the book count. I currently have 107 temporary resources but I think those are things that come with the Now access to the Logos 7 Full Feature Set.
Good point JT. I have Now as well as the Connect Starter that they migrated me to. With the cleanup of that and in now converting us to the Connect Essentials (No Library) maybe something happened. Things should be in flux this week.

That isnt quite my understanding, but I could be wrong.
You certainly lose access to the resource once the trial is over. I assume this means that it leaves your library. What I know that it doesnt do is leave your hard drive. You have to run the command to do that.

That makes sense. I can't remember what the February preview was for but if it was a commentary with 23 volumes it would make sense, Though I would have expected it to happen on the 1st of the month.
