Trying to edit a content slide and manually add breaks. I'm getting the beachball of death each time. Help. Using the latest version of Proclaim on a MacBook Air running Sierra.

Sorry about this! I'm seeing some fairly long database reads and writes in your logs. Could you try this older version of Proclaim, version 2.7 : Mac
That way we can try to isolate the issue.

That seemed to do the trick. I was able to add the breaks I wanted to in my content slide. Is there anything else can I do to help isolate this issue for you?
So on 2.7 you didn't seem to experience the hanging? Could you grab me logs again? Also, Proclaim will probably update itself again to the new version after you close it, so you might want to keep that 2.7 dmg handy.
Were you using any of the new features such as background shapes of box fill justification?
Here are the logs.

I don't even think I was aware of background shapes as a new feature. That would be a no for me on that.
Thanks for the logs, I'll dig in and see what I find!
Once again, Faithlife Proclaim team to the rescue. Thanks for getting me back up and running.
You bet! However, the fairly long times I saw in the first logs are still present in the new logs too (when you were running 2.7), so I'm not sure that the Proclaim version is actually the issue.
Do you know which service item was giving you troubles? I could take a look from our end to see if anything stands out.
It's the one labeled "Call to Worship" in the March 11 - Blended service.
When I tried to add manual slide breaks, I got the beachball of death. Had to force quit Proclaim each time. I tried restarting my computer just to see if there were any gremlins there, but to no avail.
Gotcha, That one is definitely the one in the logs with long time. And I guess it is a little better in the 2.7 logs. If its not too much trouble, could you update back to the newest version and see if you can reproduce that hanging?
Back on the newest version, and I tried following the same procedure as before.
This time, I didn't experience any issues...
Thanks. We will keep investigating. But as of now I don't believe its an issue in the new version, however somethings up.
copying text from a Word doc pasting over top editing and adding breaks
This sounds like a good starting point for us to try to get a repro!
Thanks again for the report, and let me know if you experience it again.
