Add song to presentation using CCLI number only

Is there a way?

A visiting pastor gave me a song and ccli number that was new to us, but I could not find the song using the title because it was wrong. In Proclaim I tried entering the ccli # in the song number field and the "Preview" lit up (and would play), so I know Proclaim found the song, but no other information was filled in nor was I given any list to pick from. I had to go to the Songselect website, look up the song using the number and get the correct title before adding to my presentation.

Later when I had time, I tried adding the same song in a different presentation using the ccli # to determine if Proclaim would load it from"My songs", but it did not. However using the title worked as expected.

Secondly, based on the preview, I kinda thought it might be the right song, but there still was no way I could find for me to select it or see any additional information such as title or lyrics.

Did I miss a magic button?

I'm aware, but not being familar with the song I had way too many options to go through one at a time to select the right one. I would have to add the song before the ccli # is visble, then delete if it's not the correct one and start over. Even using the rollover lyrics didn't help. And since I had the ccli number I wondered why I couldn't use it. To further confuse matters, when I typed the incorrect title exactly, I did get a list where the title matched, but the ccli number didn't and none of them were the correct song.

Since I assume the ccli number is unique, it seems the ideal way to select a song if you have it.

By the way, I typed in the incorrect title just as I was given it and the correct song DID show up on page 7 of the list of songs from Songselect after the incorrect title showed up verbatim several times.

Brendon, I agree with you and would add that if one has assigned a hymn number then in 'Reuse' it would be useful to be able to type 'CMP 108' or 'CH4 222' and have it find our song.

My point above was that, even with an incorrect title/first line, one can try a second (or any other correct, preferably unique, line) as a faster way of locating the required hymn.

I agree, but all I had was an incorrect title and a ccli number. I had no idea what any of the lyrics were.

I suppose I could have listened to the preview closer and then typed that in the search box, but I should be able to use the ccli number, and at the very least when Proclaim found the song, using the ccli number, it should have provided some means for me to select it. Such as filling in the title field on the screen

So I believe this actually works.. However, you have to put the CCLI number you are searching for in the song picker (which is the title field...)

It would be a lot better if it didn’t say title on it. Cause that is confusing. Besides remembering, there is no way for you to know what can be typed in that field.

This would be a great and practically useful improvement Jordan.

I take it this would mean that we had have a search field that would locate eg 'There is a green hill (Tune House of the Rising Sun) Blues Guitar'

While the field for (Display) Title would simply show the title we choose eg 'There is a green hill far away'?

Looking forward to the next release notes :-)
