Power Look-Up Tool Requests

1. Please allow us to select a specific link set or whether the tool is set to follow or not to follow and have that selection be persistent until changed (even if the tool is closed). As it is, every time I open this tool it defaults to 'Follow'. I don't like to keep it open all the time so I have to reset it every time I open it.

2. Once I select "None" the option menu button disappears and I have to close and reopen Power Look-Up to select another setting for the tool. Please fix this.

Thanks.

Must be my eyes. I see that little gray down arrow now and it does open up the options menu after I select 'None'. I guess after the orange asterisk and letters for the link sets when those disappeared leaving a gray box, I didn't realize what I had. I'd suggest an orange outlined empty box instead of the gray with a small arrow when 'None' is selected.

I prefer "Follow" as the global default as saving the link set could have unforeseen consequences.

Having a setting persist via a shortcut might be the way to go.

If I trigger Power Lookup from a Bible Reference hyperlink or from a highlighted pericope of a bible or from an english word or from a greek lemma, I do not want follow set. When I do all these things, I am keen to find out what resources have information on any of these items, like a quick Passage Guide. If I open any of the suggested links and click on the resource or scroll through it, I immediately lose all of the information in the Power Lookup.

If I trigger Power Lookup from a footnote or from an abbreviation, I am happy for Power Lookup to follow, because in this case I am looking to be able to read the inline references without hovering over the items.

I have said elsewhere that, as it stands, it appears that Power Lookup is trying to do (or be) two things at once: A Reference Viewer and a Quick Search/Quick Passage Guide. The name suggests that it's focused on the latter, but the "follow" behaviour suggests that it is keyed for the former.

Then triggering from the Context menu could default to "None", whilst triggering from a footnote/abbrev could default to "Follow"?

Yes, that would be my preferred behaviour and I believe the more logical one (IMHO of course).

Now that you and Dave have this thought out, I'd still like persistent or user settable default behavior.

    Mark,

I'd be very happy with a persistent or user definable default behaviour.

But, my hope of Logos allowing us to customise this sort of behaviour is zero.
