Sync Bug in Proclaim Mobile app

The Proclaim Mobile app doesn't sync once a presentation has gone on air — even if the presentation is modified whilst on air. There seems to be no way of getting around this from the mobile end, even killing the application and restarting won't help.

This is my personal Faithlife account. On 1 March 2022, I started working for Faithlife, and have a new 'official' user account. Posts on this account shouldn't be taken as official Faithlife views!

    Hello Mark,

    The Proclaim remote app, while connected, will not sync over any changes made to a presentation while it's On Air.  However, navigating back to the main menu in the remote app, re-syncing and selecting control, should bring over those changes.  Would you mind going into the settings/about menu in the remote app and hitting "Send Support Info" so we can look at the logs?  Also, including what time you experienced this would be super helpful as well!

    Thanks. I’ve sent the logs. We’ve experienced this multiple times, both when following and controlling presentations.

    I've received them!  I am seeing multiple different locations where the app timed out from it's connection.  It looks like you have the local Wi-Fi configured, however the logs aren't indicating that it was actually functioning that way.  If you go into the screen where you enter in the IP address, does hitting the "Test Connection" button return positive?

    I won’t be able to test that until Wednesday. However, I know that I first opened the app at home (so not on the church LAN), to make sure everything downloaded OK. Then when I first started controlling in church I wasn’t on WiFi because I’d recently had to reset my iPhone’s network settings. So I joined the LAN part way through the service, I think. Before that I was controlling via 4G.

    Thanks for bringing this up. We are planning to address this in the very near future. It will work just like Proclaim, updating automatically. The presenter won't have to know about edits being made in the booth.

    Thanks, Scott, that will be a big help. We often make last minute adjustments, and elderly people who can't see the screen and follow on their iPads miss out.
