The sample pages only show the early development of religions. Has anyone seen other samples from this book? What are your thoughts about it?
Nope I’ve seen nothing either. Not even in CBD nor A competition.

I jumped right on this Pre-Pub due to the quality, usefulness, and value of the previous two atlases by Tim Dowley and Nick Rowland—namely, Atlas of Christianity and Atlas of The European Reformations (especially at their Pre-Pub prices). The text is concise; the maps are relevant, clear, focused, and information rich; the image quality is excellent; and they supplement the atlases that I already own in Logos (filling in many specific, niche historical-geographical gaps).

I too have both of these other atlases so your points are well-taken. It still would be nice to see some of the other maps.
Thanks, Adam. I pushed the prepub button quickly, too. 30-day return is safe enough.

im interested!! This would be my first concern, though - image quality. Some maps I’ve experienced look good until you want to put project them on a screen or a printed handout.

Very true! Like you, I didn't find any other samples. That's why I settled on Denise's solution.

Yeah, I've also noticed that when you change the font size in Logos, it also changes the size of the images regardless of their actual size and resolution. That's one factor that negatively impacts image quality in Logos Editions. Faithlife really needs to improve how images are displayed. The Media Tool might help, but that's not particularly convenient when you just want peruse or read a book.
I’m sorry but I’ll wait for the Accordance Edition. That’s my plan from now on: Whenever I can, my graphics will be in my # 2 Bible software.

I certainly don't want to get in the way of the Logos-Media-Looks-Bad movement. Though granted, A-Company supports higher resolution, and more media rich resources.
But just for the record, the 2 atlases in Logos already mentioned, are quite readable in Logos native mode. And copied into my own Bible software (which includes image analysis support), the embedded Logos images 'pop-out' to about 130% of their in-Logos size. And the text only shows smoothing pixels at 200%, and jaggies well after. The maps are pretty good.
Which means that The Atlas of World Religions should be the same.

Thank you! This is what I needed to know. Got my eye on these now!
This will be released on April 5. Last chance to grab it at PP price.

The images in the Logos resources are mostly good quality, however, it's quite sad that you have to copy them to 3rd party software to experience that quality. It shouldn't be too difficult to implement a proper viewer directly into Logos.

As a rule, I'm not a fan of how graphics are handled in Logos either, but I have the Atlas of Christian History and am very pleased with the maps and other graphics in this resource. Changing the font size of the resource text does not change the size or resolution of the graphics for me. The only thing I see affecting graphic size and resolution is the size of the window used to view the resource.
Hi, Rick. I definitely agree that the image quality in these resources is excellent! Font size adjustments, however, can and do impact images in such resources. It's most noticeable with a sufficiently large, high-resolution monitor that can display the images at full-size. In that case, as you increase the font size, it'll blow up the image. Maximize the font-size for the full effect.
