I just want to highlight the surprise availability of the first eighteen volumes of Patrologiae Graeca in a number of base packages, including Orthodox Gold 8.

To my knowledge, this is the first time that any of the volumes of the Patrologiae of J. P. Migne have been made available by FaithLife.

How if we can just get bids on the whole series ...

I just came online to post about this. My guess is that Logos is already working on this series and it will be available relatively soon. I remember there were resources I wanted in Logos 6 or 7 that weren't ready when the packages came out, but they downloaded a few months later.

The Patrologiae Graeca/Latin in Logos is a big deal; reason enough for me to look at the Orthodox Gold package (and up).

    Little steps.

I suspect that the popularity/use of these 18 volumes will be determinative as to whether and when the rest of the Patrologia are done. If they are very useful (in terms of tagging, etc.), that will create greater interest in the rest of the volumes.

I agree. We'd love to do the whole project if there is sufficient demand. Getting these 18 volumes through production is proving to be a relatively big task, but I'm excited to see the final product.

You can expect the volumes included in L8 roll out regularly over the next few months. Please let me know what you think as you get them and are able to use them.

    Ben,

For those who placed a bid via CP, will these still get out to us as well?

    Hey Cliff,

They will eventually be available to everyone and those who placed the CP bid will get them for the price that CP closes at. For now, they are only available in Logos 8.

Great news! I ordered Orthodox Diamond 8 last night, but still don’t see any of the volumes. Where can we find them?

Congratulations!  I'm still on the fence.

If you click on the Expand button for Patrologiae, each volume has a asterisk ... meaning later delivery.

Thanks, Denise. Yes, I saw that when I ordered, but I was confused with the statements here, which said it was "now available" and "available for Logos 8 users."

Why are you on the fence? The Diamond upgrade was not too bad for me, since I had already ordered ACCS, FC, ACW separately and had a Verbum Master base library. For me, the addition of Ancient Christian Texts, Anchor Yale Bible, Popular Patristics volumes, and PG were absolutely worth the price I paid.

Sorry for my role in that, Father!

Sorry, I didn't catch your answer!  And, sorry my answer was not incorrect.  But Ben seems pretty hopeful.

I climbed off the fence. I suppose the answer could be summed up in the english/japanese phrase 'bad aji'.  I wonder if there's a theological equivalent.

https://senseis.xmp.net/?BadAji for its common usage. The literal meaning might be its own bad aji.
