Bought 3 Packages, would I get 3 Mobile Ed Courses?

I bought 3 different Base Packages today. Each of them come with a "Choose Your Own" Mobile Ed Course.

Does that mean I will get 3 different courses, or was that considered Dynamically priced?

I bought one package over the phone, and later when I bought the other two, I noticed it was still on the "New to Me" features, so it would seem like I should get 3 different courses?

No, you will only get one course. So it shouldn't have shown in "New to Me". If it did, it's a bug (though not one that happened to me). If you're not happy with that, I'm sure Customer Services will be able to help.

If that was the case, everyone buying Collector's would buy Silver, then Gold, then Platinum then Diamond, then Portfolio, then Collectors, and end up with six MobileEd course. Those buying Ultimate could end up with 40! That was never Faithlife's intention.

I do not think so. Mobile Ed courses appear to be for Logos packages only. Sorry.

Mark, if you dont mind sharing, what did you purchase in v8?

I went for Ultimate in the end. I was fortunate that past purchases meant I could upgrade to Ultimate for about the retail cost of Platinum — and, I discovered, I’d be saving about $500 in pre-pubs I could cancel. (Logos is also tax-deductible in the UK, so the actual cost to me is quite a bit lower than that.)

I was assuming I would mix and match from the various streams, as I did with L7. However, I didn’t because:

With L7, I found myself needing to update to higher packages after the initial sales window, to get resources I didn’t know I needed earlier. I figured that if I did the same with L8 that could end up costing me a few hundred dollars as the 25% discount only applies to the first purchase.
I hoped that Ultimate might offer a slightly better discount than buying everything separately, although there’s no way of knowing that.
Buying this way saves a LOT of time doing math and comparing packages - which I don’t mind doing if it reduces costs substantially, but I wasn’t convinced it would.

Yes, although strictly speaking that wasn’t necessary as they would auto-cancel.

Look in the email purchase receipt which should have been sent out immediately on purchase. They've hidden the free Mobile Ed course info in there... [:)]

Which would have been quite sweet, as I picked up Std Silver for ~$20 after other purchases. A little too nice, I guess.

BTW, not every product on the list linked in the email is eligible. The Greek bundle listed doesn't get the discount, even though it's on the subset list. Maybe that would have been expecting a bit much, also. Maybe I misread; that's been known to happen.

Bundles aren't eligible, and shouldn't be appearing on the list of individual courses to choose from.

Are you sure you were looking at the list of L8 Mobile Ed redeemable courses? I just checked and didn't see any bundles (Greek or otherwise) among those 205 courses we can choose from.

Mark, thank you for posting this link. I placed my order and ran through the update yesterday, but I still haven't received an email acknowledging the order and providing the link. Come to think of it, I'm a FL Connect subscriber but haven't yet received the email about the free upgrade either. I suppose the Faithlife system is a wee bit overwhelmed.

Interesting, Robert. I saw the Hebrews course, but not the Greek bundle. I suppose FL is continuing to make changes to that web page, to more accurately reflect all the individual courses which are meant to be eligible.

Either way, it's a great deal, given how much we got to save on the course of our choice. Glad it all worked out for you!
