Adding your own bible version
Is there a way to add your own bible version in logos? I know you can add books through personal book builder, but I want to use a custom bible that has all the features and searchability that a normal bible would have. Thanks for any help.

Yes. When you mouse over a reference, your preferred bible displays the verse. Is that possible with a PB?

I tried a year or so back and could not fully figure it out.. I did managed to get it in Logos but then discovered one of the main features I wanted would not work with my bible.. The read out loud feature I could never get to work.
It would probable cost too much but I wish Faith Life would offer a way where they could fully add one for us for a fee..

May I suggest you might also hope for these functions:
- Milestones - to enable linking with commentaries, study bibles, and other bibles.
- Link tagging - the PB compiler (or maybe some resource load-time routine) will recognize bible references (with no tagging) to provide the popup links you want, and it amazingly recognizes a wide range of styles (e.g. book abbreviations, roman numerals) successfully. But if your source document has indirect references, such as "3:16" or "16" where "John" is the implicit book, those will need explicit tagging.
- Bible text field tagging - to enable your bible to be searched accurately in a Bible Search, to be useful in the Text Comparison tool and Copy Bible Verse, and to enable Read Aloud to skip reading verse numerals.
- MS Word headings applied to Book and Book-Chapter names to enable a useful table of contents.
I have attached (below) a bible that I tagged/formatted with these features. From this you can see the tagging in action.
It looks like a lot of work, but if your bible document (Word .docx) has consistent formatting features, like references in bold or a unique font size, it can be manageable. On the example I provide, I used MS Excel as an intermediate tagging aid, since I know Excel formulas better than I know Word text manipulation. Then I pasted it into Word and converted the resulting table into non-table text.

I have multiple PB Bibles in various languages that function very well. It's a long shot, but maybe your custom Bible already exists and someone would be pleased to share.

Since this thread was active, Logos has published a number of underserved, non-English bible translations. The good part: they're free.
The Ukrainian link is here: https://www.logos.com/product/1837/noviy-zapovit . I know nothing of Ukranian translations, but this one will definiely be simpler than creating a PB.
Even though the Product Details doesn't state so, it is Type: Bible, and has a Bible index. So, it will behave with commentaries, study bibles, text comparison, etc.
Hope this one helps. I was unable to find the personal book thread you're seeking. If you want to try, the best way is to use Google and the format site:community;logos.com search words .
