Notes Out of Order

When I add to a notes file, it doesn't put the latest note at the bottom.  Sometimes it's at the top, sometimes in the middle.  Even the notes that begin with a Bible reference aren't added in order.  Example: I have a notes file on my NIGTC commentary on Mark.  My last note on Mark 14:27 ended up between the notes on Mark 14:17 & Mark 14:18. I spent a lot of time dragging the out of order notes to the correct place. Is this a bug or is there some logic to it?

    Hi Pam,

Are you adding the note by right clicking on text in the Bible, or are you adding it by clicking on 'Add note' on the Note file toolbar?  I'm not able to reproduce the problem when I right click on a verse and add it to a note file currently open. It places them in order of verses. For instance, I added the notes you mentioned, Mark 4:17, 4:18 and 4:27, and they were placed in that order. I then added Mark 4:14 and it was placed at the top above 4:17.

    Thanks,
    Melissa

    Hi Melissa,

I was adding notes by right-clicking on a selected block of my commentaries.  One of the commentaries is versified and the other isn't.  It was doing okay with the versified commentary, but then I added a note from the non-versified one and that note was placed on top. I grabbed that note and moved it to the proper place, but since I did that the notes I add go in the wrong place, even the ones from the versified commentary.

    Forgot to add:

When the commentary refers to a verse range, the notes don't get put in the right order. e.g. the commentary first discusses Mark 14:12-42, then Mark 14:12-25, then Mark 14:12; the notes reverse this order:
