How do I format text in the Media Tool?

Is there a way to format the text in the Media Tool? For instance, in the slide captured below, I would like to do something to differentiate the actual quote from the name of the author. However, if I put a space in the text box on the left between the quote and author's name, nothing changes on the slide. (I realize that other quote slides have separate quote boxes for the author's name, but this was the background I wanted.) Alternatively, if I could put the quote in italics, that would help.

Put a return in there.

You mean "Enter", correct? If so, from the first pic you'll be able to see that I already tried that - with no success.

sorry, maybe it's the font you are using. For me either Enter/Return or just many spaces will move the Author name down below.
I don't see a direct way to format quote and author differently. The workaround would be to try various styles, fonts and/or sizes and then make one document with the Author name on it (by moving the text box) where you want it and the save it. Then use this file as the background for the quoted text.

I'm not that familiar with Sermon Editor, but..
If you go back to Sermon Editor, delete that slide. Then format the text as "Block Quote" and create the slide from that, you will get an additional Author field. The format of slides depends on the formatting of the text.

Yes, but my original concern with this post was how to change the formatting for a particular background - the one in the pic. And even when formatting the text as "Block Quote" the Author field is lost when switching to that particular background.

Searching Media for Christmas Bright finds background with several text formats
Clicking a background with two text styles allows font to be chosen for each box on the left side
