Notes & highlights on iOS not syncing to desktop
Was working fine yesterday for most of the day. Near nighttime I noticed that the highlights and notes I was taking on iOS stopped syncing to desktop app. Figured it might catch up tomorrow. Still, nothing has synced. Have tried restarting both computer and iPad. Have restarted both programs.
Desktop: Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134
iOS: 12.1.1

Do you mean they don’t show up in resources on the desktop, or that they don’t show up in the Notes Tool on the desktop?
EDIT: I'm seeing the same thing - I'll explore further and report back if I find anything.

It looks like a problem with the desktop not correctly synchronising with the data in the Logos cloud.
Notes created on my iPad are appearing on my iPhone - indicating that the notes are syncing properly "Up" from the iPad.
They also appear in the webapp - and changes made in the web app sync down to the iPad.
I'm running the beta version of Logos 8.2 so will cross post an entry in the Beta notes file.
What version of Logos software are you running on the desktop.
EDIT: Cross-posted at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/177023.aspx in the Desktop beta forum

It looks like nothing is communicating for me. The changes I make on my iPad are not syncing to either my iPhone or to my desktop app. The changes made on my desktop are not syncing to the iPad or iPhone. Same with changes made on my iPhone.
This applies to both notes and highlights. And it applies to the resources and the notes document tool.
I'm using the latest iOS apps and the desktop app is 8.1.0.0016

Strange
it sounds as there may be two different, even if related, sync issues
The fact that you are running the stable version of 8.1 and I am running the beta version of 8.2 could affect desktop interactions but wouldnt impact iPad to iphone sync
Do you see any of the changes you make on any of the platforms turning up in the Notes Tool in the webapp?

Good question.
It looks like any changes I make on my devices are syncing to the webapp, both to the resource and the Notes Tool. So, for example, highlighting on my iPhone is synced with the webapp, and same goes for desktop or iPad changes. But the devices are not communicating with each other.

Update:
So it turns out that if I go into the mobile apps and force a sync via the burger looking icon (three horizontal bars tab) then all the changes that are made on the desktop and on the other mobile device are synced. However, "forcing" a sync on desktop via this icon does not synch any changes that were made on mobile.

Thanks
So at least we are both seeing the same symptoms.
- any changes made from anywhere appear in the webapp
- changes made in the desktop propagate any where
- changes made in mobile don’t appear on the desktoo
We need someone from Faithlife to comment on this

Thanks for your help. My mind is slightly more at ease knowing that my highlights are at least going to the webapp.

I noticed this problem several weeks ago just after Logos 8 was released. I had added a note and a highlight to Genesis 2:20 on my Windows laptop and it did not transfer to my iPad or my iPhone. I called tech support and they told me it was a known problem. Several weeks later now, that highlight is visible on my iPhone, but still not on my iPad. Conversely, the note icon is visible on my iPad but still not on my iPhone. In fact, currently, hardly any note icons are visible on my iPhone.
To me, this is a very stressful situation. It is important to believe that my notes and highlights will be preserved and not disappear and also be available consistently on all my devices. I sincerely hope Faithlife will devote the attention and resources necessary to get this problem solved once and for all. Blessings!

The problem you describe is different - in that notes are not synching from desktop to mobile whereas what we are seeing here is the other way around.
I suggest you start a new thread and we will see if we can help work out what is going on.

That looks like a different problem - maybe due to alignment within a resource. Please start a new thread

This isn't necessarily a different problem. The note Jimmy To has at "inherently affirms" is different than the one tied piety. The piety one was made on mobile and didn't sync with the desktop, which has the other note and text highlighting.
If this is the same problem, then Jimmy should be able to get the mobile app to sync with what is on his desktop (by forcing a sync within app), but not vice versa.

Jimmy To: what version of the Mobile App are you using? It does not look like version 8...Version 8 no longer has the Preferred Bible icon (at least in iOS). It also uses the old Notes system which might account for the discrepancy.

By way of update, by reading one of the other numerous threads on syncing issues I was finally able to get my desktop application to sync the changes that had been made on the mobile app.
In one of my posts above I described "forcing" the desktop to sync by clicking the sync icon at the top right-hand corner of the desktop window. Apparently that doesn't constitute a forced sync (not sure what the correct terms are here), and I wasn't entirely sure it did to begin with, which is why I put it in quotation marks. According to another thread, you force a sync on desktop by holding the shift key while clicking the sync icon.
When I tried this method my desktop did sync the changes I had made on mobile. Either way, there is still a problem here that Logos needs to fix and it would be helpful if the shift + sync functionality were made more obvious to users.
