Tyndale Commentary Series Tagging
Tyndale commentaries published after 2011 as shown as being in the series "The Tyndale Commentary Series" while earlier ones are shown as "Tyndale Commentaries"
This makes setting up Collections based on series names more complex but - probably more importantly requires used to know about the difference.
Is the series name defined by the publisher or is this metadata something that Faithlife could change so they are all shown in the same series?

Generally speaking: Yes. We follow these almost slavishly. There are exceptions. For example: because the series name also controls serial relations we have to make concessions when (lets say) a print book in a series is broken up into two different volumes and it has Greek Text on page and on its opposite facing page is commentary. We need to produce this as two separate resources: A commentary and the Greek Text. We would prefer to give both these the same series title but there are instances where we might need to append something to the series name. e.g. Series Name (Commentary) and Series Name (Greek Text). It's not ideal but its used in scenarios where using the same name might cause strange jumping between resources if the same series name was used. I can't remember the exact collection off the top of my head but I recall a Homer or some other antiquity set where this was especially an issue.
But to your question about this series: I don't know. We'll look into it though.
I'll also add that there is some added weirdness with the Tyndale series. Due to geographical restrictions that have since been lifted we had to release the exact same commentary with different resource IDs. We've since resolved that issue but there are a handful of people that have duplicates in their library when we effectively retired the UK version and provided them with the US version. I don't know if you're in that boat or not.

Interesting - and I could be!
I hadn't noticed it before but all the resources that have series "The Tyndale Commentary Series" are ones that I also have in "Tyndale Commentaries"
From a brief look at some of them though they are actually updated editions - often with new authors.

I saw this about a year ago and just went in and changed the series info of all the new volumes to match the old volumes in the info section of each volume. This is not an isolated incident. Logos tends to be sloppy about metadata for series. I can't remember which ones,but i've had to manually fix the series info on several series over the years. You'd think that whoever at Logos is making the metadata for new volumes in a series would actually check to see how the series is tagged before issuing the new volumes.

Yes it does.
If that means the 58 (?) volume set will all have the same Series, there is the problem of which volume is selected when there are duplicates. I have 59 volumes of which one is a bible text for SoS. When I made a unique series of the latest versions there are 47 volumes (excluding the bible).
Then there is still the issue with the 49 volume series and the listing of the 58 (?) vol series.
