Please - Current Japanese Resource??

We have been waiting YEARS for a Japanese Bible. Most of us would be happy with a current Japanese resource version to be able to compare side by side with other Bible versions (please include switchable Furigana) even though other Logos features might not all work.
We just need to compare the text. Personally I wouldn't care if the whole Logos toolset and interface were in Japanese.
Please start with the text resource? I would be willing to pay half the price of the Logos 8 upgrade JUST FOR THIS RESOURCE if updates to it were continually maintained. It's that important to us as missionaries in Japan.

I guess you're hinting the prepub isn't up to date?

Unfortunately, the prepub participation, versus the limit on pricing (a Bible) means it's not going anywhere. Of course, Accordance has the 2017. Before BW went under, I got a copy for the Japanese, plus some other resources.
It's ironic, since Logos3 (Libronix) had a Japanese interlinear in Japan. A gentleman on the forum begged and begged in the subsequent years, and then after so many years, passed on.

Yeah I am also serving in Japan and have wanted a Japanese translation on logos for a long time. I’ve written a few emails about it but I guess it just boils down to business. If there’s not enough demand they probably aren’t going to supply it. That’s tough though because it would be such a Blessing to those serving in Japan to have it.

Until the prePub mentioned above comes through (which may be never, since there seems to be only a very limited number of users interested in that), your best bet would be building a PB. I must admit I have zero knowledge of doing such a thing with non-Latin script resources, but it should be possible.
If your source is in the public domain, probably some experts in bible file production can help you with their tools and make the PB bible available here in the forum. This is obviously not possible for copyrighted versions such as the one on PrePub.
I really hoped Faithlife would step in and acquire the publisher's licenses from Bibleworks, especially those for bibles in international languages - but maybe they were contracted in a way that precluded this option. That said, in case you own a Bibleworks version of a Japanese bible, there should be ways to convert this into a Logos PB source in Word (I have no idea if this is a legal use of your respective Bibleworks license under Japanese or US law).
Have joy in the Lord!
