I'm appreciating the date-picker functionality on the lectionary card in the 8.3 update.  Thanks for the work to get that put in.

Yes!  You're welcome.  They were able to get it into 8.3.  This will just be a beginning for the lectionary functionality in Verbum.  I've begun conversations with our dev teams about the functionality and uses of lectionaries by our users.  It's been great so far.  We're looking at ways to enhance the user experience for Catholic clergy in particular, as they tend to be our lectionary power users.

Please don't forgot the Lutheran pastors who may use only a Sunday lectionary ... but sometimes use the RCL daily lectionary or the daily morning/evening prayer.

The second group to consider are the third-order Catholics who have a Divine Office obligation.

If you handle Catholic clergy & 3rd order and the Lutherans you should have the framework to cover nearly everyone and to convince FL that lectionaries are not simply a Verbum issue.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

You've got a great start.  Not sure what you and the team are thinking about, but I have some ideas in terms of a jumping off point that may help.  You are free to email me at the address you have on file or message.  I'd be happy to share.

    Thanks!

I put in a suggestion for a "Mass" creator. I can outline the vision for you if you want.

    Steve, Dave & MJ,

Thank you for the offer for feedback and input--and your interest and passion around this aspect of the software.  I'm going to create a private Faithlife group for those interested in contributing ideas.  This group would include both myself and key members of the dev team and provide a forum where we could share and discuss things to possibly implement in the software.

While the primary use case(s) we're aiming at are for clergy and homiletics, to MJ's point, there are other use cases we will want to factor into what we're doing.

Once I have a chance to set that up I'll post the info for the group here.  This would be a group specifically specifically focused on the lectionary functionality In Verbum.

    Stay tuned....

Is this where Logos and Verbum start to seperate to where the 'set to' command will no longer work effectively?

[Have the room to install Verbum]  [Too bad that they do not share the library files]
