Quite by coincidence my son and I were reading on a very important current topic - and we both recommend the book we were reading to anyone involved in discussing religion, politics, ethics .... Neither book is liberal or conservative
I have been reading Understanding Ignorance: The Surprising Impact of What We Don't Know (The MIT Press) by Daniel R. DeNicolaMy son has been reading The Righteous Mind: Why Good People Are Divided by Politics and Religion by Jonathan Haidt
If others have recommendations for similar literature, I'm interested.
The Righteous Mind explained several important concepts that kept me turning pages. For instance: Why some will turn to drugs and others will never be tempted. Jonathan Haidt is an author that I keep an eye on.
Throwing them on the Goodreads list!
Alas, I don't think FL sells them yet.
You might like Finding Truth (and other books) by Nancy Pearcy. FL sells this:

Thanks for the suggestions.

This excellent $23 book on the topic is on sale now for $1:
