Just playing around …. I modified to - (Jesus WITHIN 1-10 WORDS Christ) AND NOT Lord - and seem to have some good results; 92 results in 30 articles in ESV. At least a starting point. Not sure what the 100 word limitation is doing or whether you need it for your research.
I'm a big confused on how to run this search. I'm trying to run two searches. One for passages where Jesus, Christ, and Lord appear within a certain number of words of each other. A second for passages were Jesus and Christ appear within a certain number of words but Lord is not within a certain number of words. I started with the second search first and tried using this syntax but I did not get any results which I know isn't correct. What's wrong with my syntax? (Jesus WITHIN 1-10 WORDS Christ) AND NOT WITHIN 100 WORDS lord
Try this
(Jesus WITHIN 1-10 words christ) NOT WITHIN 100 words Lord
Try this (Jesus WITHIN 1-10 words christ) NOT WITHIN 100 words Lord
That worked--thank you
Just to clarify--it appears the "within word" search only searches a verse. For example, using this search I find results that appear valid, however Lord is clearly within 100 words but appears in a different verse. Is there a way to sell it to search across verses words?
