Kingdom of the Cults - delayed?
I pre-ordered Walter Martin’s classic, “Kingdom of the Cults”, a month or so back. It was originally scheduled for release yesterday, then pushed to today, and now I don’t see any date for its release. Does anyone have any info on this one?

The website says May 24th for IVP and Amazon. It’s probably the same with Logos

Yes, that would be the most logical assumption. It would, however, be nice to get an official word from Faithlife.

Sorry. Didn’t even occur to me as I’ve never read or posted in that forum. To be honest, didn’t even realize it existed till now. I’m sure now that my question has been moved to the correct forum the answer will come any minute now.

You are right! The pub date changed from the publisher and we updated the website to reflect the new date: 5/21/19.

Is this an updated version? I already have this book in Logos as an e-book, published by Thomas Nelson 2008. What are the differences, if any, between this upcoming publication and the 2008 version?

I haven't received it yet either. In fact, I cannot even locate it on the ebooks.logos.com site or the logos.com site, when searching by title or author. My order confirmation e-mail still gives me hope, but I am concerned that it may no longer be offered for sale by Faithlife?

The link is still there, but still showing as available to pre-order
The Kindle version is now available so hopefully Faithlife eBooks will follow soon.

But the new link page for the book now gives no specific date for release. It only says 2019. That's not good, imho. Can someone please give us more detail.

Faithlife eBooks normally release the book pretty close to the release date. It's my understanding that they receive a file from the publisher that then needs no work in order to make the book available. So the only delay is if the publisher overlooks sending the file or if it's corrupted.

Currently, we are having technical issues with the file. The dev folks is going to look into it. I should know more tomorrow. So sorry for the inconvenience & thanks for checking!

Usually in cases like these were the date keeps getting bumped up a day or two there is a conversion error in the process somewhere. This could be fixed today or it could take weeks... I guess it depends on what kind of error they are getting (if I am correct)

Yes, the file has technical problems and the tech team is looking at it now. First, they will determine what the problem is, and then either fix it, or get new files. It will take a little longer depending on the solution. Thanks very much for your patience!

It is likely that you are seeing the automated “bump” date.

I may have missed something...I have this resource on my wish list but when I click on the resource, it is not found in Logos. I see that it is found in ebooks, but that link does not show that I have pre-ordered this resource.

Ok so I don't know if anyone else is having this issue but...
I had this book preordered but the preorder didn't process for some reason and it shows the book live on the site. I cancelled my prepub and then bought the book. My only issue now is that it isn't showing on my mobile device or in the web app. I spoke with someone from FL and they aren't sure why that is. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue or not. The one thought I did gather was the book didn't process until late last night so maybe it hasn't gone totally live in the system yet. I'll try again later tonight

Sometimes purchases don't get processed immediately on your account... but most of the time they do. Sometimes books aren't available immediately on mobile upon release... but often they are.

I am experiencing everything you have said, with the exception of the web app. It did take it quite a bit of time to load in the web but it did eventually load. It is not showing up on my iPad and I did have to cancel my pre-pub and buy it.

Sorry I forgot to update this but yes it was fixed last night and all seems to be working for me at least. I believe the title wasn't fully indexed on the logos side which was the issue

I just did what Matthew did. That is very goofy. It hadn't downloaded as a pre-pub. Never had that happen before.

I can't see the book in Logos. This post has always been about the Faithlife eBooks edition, which is now available to order. The post has mostly discussed the publisher delay and then the delay due to some technical issue. If you want the book order and delete any pre-order as this seems to have been an issue for some (if not all).

I just cancelled the pre-order which pointed to a logos link that no longer exists and ordered the e-book for the same price.
