We have a smaller congregation at an off site venue with no musicians, so have recordings done by our larger congregation that we attach to song slides as background audio to play through as we progress the slides.
Recently, some of the background audio has stopped working. It is not always the same songs. One time one song will work and then just be silent the next.
We connect to our projector using apple tv over a local area wifi network (or wired cable if wifi is being glitchy). If the background audio is not playing and I change the audio output settings of my MAC to internal speakers then the audio file plays, but when I reconnect the audio to Apple TV there is silence. I should probably mention that the local network doesn't have internet, so everything is downloaded prior to arrival.
In troubleshooting I have tried making sure everything is completely updated. I have restarted everything. I have tried using wired ethernet instead of WiFi. I have tried using my apple tv unit at home to test the service before heading to church building and it all works fine, but when I arrive at church, at least 1-2 of the songs decide to go quiet - sometimes all of them.
Needless to say this is frustrating for me and discouraging for our smaller congregation. What else can I try to get this fixed consistently. Up until about 2 months ago, we never had this problem in 4-5 years of using proclaim out there.
